Why "Licking" Hobbies?
Let's address the elephant in the room: no, we're not that kind of shop.
Licking Hobbies is named after Licking County, Ohio, the beautiful county we call home. It's a real place with a slightly unfortunate name (we know, we know), but it's been home to farmland, history, and now, our little family workshop.
So no, there's nothing scandalous here, just a family of artists, gamers, and hobbyists doing what we love in a county with a name that makes people do a double-take. We think it's kind of charming, honestly. It's memorable, it's ours, and once you know the story, you'll never forget it.

About Licking Hobbies
Licking Hobbies is a family-run creative workshop in Licking County, Ohio, founded by Ed and Emily Breder in October 2025. After decades of painting miniatures and gaming together (starting back in 2001 when Ed worked at Games Workshop HQ), the couple combined their love of tabletop gaming with modern 3D printing to create high-quality miniatures and collectibles.
We only work with real human artists from around the world, people we actually talk to and work alongside, and every design is quality-tested before it reaches our store. Our resin mixes are built for durability, and every item ships safely, guaranteed.
This is truly a family effort: Ed handles production and quality control, Emily runs marketing and content, and both of them paint for the catalog. Their son Hyde creates custom commissions and their other son Jacob pitches in at conventions. And of course, their studio cat Biscuit supervises it all.
We believe in the magic of gathering around a table with real people, and we're proud to help bring that experience to life one miniature at a time.
